New Library Building

The Middleton City Council has resolved to build a new library in the Middleton Place Park on East Main Street. They have budgeted $100,000 in the library building fund to help begin the process. This came about after much work and research by the Library Building Committee, then chaired by Rhonda Quinn.

The Library Board has authorized a Building Committee which currently needs additional committee members and other volunteers who would like to participate in fundraising, grantwriting, or design research. If you are interested in helping in one of these areas, please talk to Elaine at the library. Monthly meetings will be on the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.

Our Yard Sale brought in about $700 for our building fund, and we are grateful to the many people who donated items for it. The building committee appreciated the help from LisaAnn Hicks, Kristen, Maria Held, Glynn and Cynthia Falgout, and other helpers as we packed up leftovers to send to other charities.
